i actually wish i were at work

i think this will be the only time i ever utter those words again. i must be crazy, right?!?! actually, no, for once i'm actually excited about work and the new challenges i'm going to be facing. now, i can't actually say what it is, but needless to say, it's gonna be good! i've been keeping my secret bottled up for over a week now, and the announcement is finally coming out on tuesday. or possibly wednesday :P it's not earth-shattering news, but it's definitely good :-) i'd been stuck in a work-rut for a while, and i kept getting asked to be on different committees in and out of the office. at what point do you say no? is no even an option? i've gotten so used to saying yes, that i don't even think about no anymore. so when this new opportunity came along, i actually wondered what would happen if i said no. i think it would have been ground-breaking and unheard of!

in less than 48 hours (hopefully) the secret will be out. i look forward to this new challenge and opportunity in my career! i could possibly be building this up to be bigger than it actually is, but hey, it's new and different for me, and i'm honoured to be chosen for this. argh, if only it were tuesday afternoon already!
