jinxed!

i definitely jinxed myself w/my last post re: gabe's stellar behaviour at cru. we took him to earl's for dinner and it was horrific! i packed snacks and water for him, but i forgot his book and stacking cups. oh lordy lordy...gabe was miserable! nothing was keeping him happy...he didn't want to sit at the table, he didn't want to eat, he didn't want to walk, he didn't want to watch the hockey game, on and on. he was wailing his head off!

and then my food arrived. cheeky monkey helped himself to my french fries! and then he stopped crying. he sat nicely at the table. he remembered his manners. he smiled.

we never intended to allow gabe to eat junk food once he started solids. but sometimes you just do what you have to do to get through a meal. and so we could actually have a moment to chat with our friends, chris was a genius and found "ni-hao kai-lan" on you-tube! thank goodness for ipods!
