the blahs

so i didn't post anything yesterday. i did mean to.....i kept starting a post, and then i'd re-read it and not like what i had written, so i deleted it and started over again. i was just having a really off day. it was a girl moment, and i couldn't get out of my funk, and then i didn't feel like writing something for the "world" to see.

that being said, i think the page has turned. i was on the skytrain this morning, and what did i see? one of the PADS puppies in training! i didn't want to disturb the puppy or puppyraiser, so i just watched her giving the commands to the puppy. as i was listening, i learned the yellow lab was Lira......one of the first puppies i got to meet and later play with. she is such a sweetie! it was heartwarming to see her out getting her training. i also thought i recognized the raiser as the woman who inspired me to volunteer at PADS in the first place. they got off at the same station as me, so it's quite possible..... on monday at my volunteering session i learned that PADS is expecting several litters of puppies over the next couple of months, but there's also a shortage of puppyraisers to take the current puppies at the centre (i.e., these puppies need to go before the new ones can come in). so if there's anyone out there who wants to take home a puppy to train, please contact PADS (see my links).

so last night i was suffering from the blahs which led to a massive headache. even a nap couldn't help me :( however, i guess shopping made it better! we bought our recliner/sofa last night at the bay. chris is picking it up on sunday, just in time for our guests coming over :) things are slowly coming together at home! we also have to report our first deficiency......one of our hinge thingies that keeps the cupboard door screwed on, fell off or broke. asides from that, everything is just peachy!

Hey Tracey, I linked onto your blog through Sandra's blog. You guys rock with all your daily comments! Just wanted to tell you I enjoy your posts, especially the ones about the dogs (I think I'm going to look into it some more). Hope you're having a better than 'blah' day today!
