last night i was watching the amazing race, and i got really mad about something that happened. i *think* it was when lake called his wife, michelle, a bitch, and then proceeded to yell at her to shut up. how immature are we? mind you, if chris and i were on that show, i don't know how i'd react, especially since we don't agree on anything :P i thought someone else made a slightly offensive comment.....i might watch the repeat on OLN this weekend to jog my memory.
i also spend a lot of time watching the animal planet channel. when we had weekly dinners at my parents house, i would always watch pound patrol, and now that i have the channel at home, i can watch it mondays through wednesdays @ 7 p.m. (don't call me during this hour!) (mind you, it repeats at 11 p.m.). it's always heart-wrenching to see the conditions that some of these animals live through. last night's episode featured hoarders who "owned" 109 dogs, 4 of the fattest pigs ever (their diet was donuts - sugar coated, jelly filled, chocolate, anything; and they were so fat, they couldn't even walk), and some horses. they scanned through the house, and it was just disgusting......dishes piled so high you couldn't see the wall, dog crates randomly stacked in rooms, urine and feces all over the floor, the fridge was so old and gross it was turning black, dirty clothes lying everywhere. absolutely appalling! there was also a litter of puppies, but they didn't know which mother they belonged to :( luckily the puppies were semi-healthy, and were adopted out later on! i like to see the happy endings for the animals and for justice to be served to irresponsible owners. i have to admit though that some of these ppl have mental health issues, so they can't be blamed 100% for their actions.
so tonight i will watch another thrilling episode of pound patrol, and get my fill of good and bad in the world. after that i will watch america's next top model. talk about quality television programming :P
